Carrion flower, Smilax, in autumn

Fragrant Bedstraw
Highbush cranberry
Red Osier Dogwood
Four-part Oak
Crow
Moth on poplar leaf
Weathered bit of long-dead tree
As I was walking in the long grass under the trees, this sun bleached portion of old wood caught my eye, with its intricate swirls and beautiful contrast.
The tiny yellow flower of Medicago lupulina, commonly known as black medick, was a decoration.
Then I turned my camera, got in closer, and I thought it resembled a Van Gogh.
