Just the eyeful of those amazing white trunks was fascinating.

And one tree showed the marks of a long ago climber: a bear.

I know, poplars again?
But already these days when I walk in the woods, I can see far into the distant ranks of bare trunks. The leaves are disappearing, so I treasure them.
