I couldn’t identify this bug, but I had to admire the wings and appealing eyes

I always have trouble telling the difference between a raven and a crow. In these photos, the wedge-shaped tail is easy to see, so I can identify this bird as a raven. According to the audubon website, “The crow’s tail feathers are basically the same length, so when the bird spreads its tail, it opens like a fan. Ravens, however, have longer middle feathers in their tails, so their tail appears wedge-shaped when open.”
