Great Spangled Fritillary butterfly.

This took me literally hours of looking at caterpillar images online, to find a possible identification. Not enjoyable at all, I must say.

The next time I take a caterpillar photo, it may remain anonymous.

This, our longest day of the year, is over eight hours longer than the day of winter solstice.
