Great Spangled Fritillary butterfly.
This took me literally hours of looking at caterpillar images online, to find a possible identification. Not enjoyable at all, I must say.
The next time I take a caterpillar photo, it may remain anonymous.

I get a better look at the natural world through my camera. Long walks and taking the time to look around sometimes brings to my sight a part of nature I might miss if I pass too quickly…
Not very friendly looking, with all those spikes.
And apparently some caterpillars are poisonous and-or can sting.
