Mar. 20 there were some pussy willows starting.

in the last week we have had some colder temperatures, and they closed up again. Yesterday they were starting to open. The willows are still surrounded by snow, ice and water, but the sun is warming the buds.

I found this fallen cottonwood branch leaning against a sapling. What beautiful knotted burls.
