They are arachnids, but not spiders: no venom or silk. They have only two eyes, on a bump near the front of their body. The eyes are the two black dots in the middle of the front of the body, below.

When I zoomed in, the morning sun sent tiny flashes shimmering down the straight connector threads of the web.
