Thanks to the younger, sharper eyes of my companion, we spotted this wild duck nest, looking like it floated on the very water.

Night out

I set up a small tent in the pasture. Put in it the warm sleeping bag.

After sunset, I headed out there. Warm hoodie jacket and thickest hike socks on. The nighttime low was forecast at 4*C. But Venus! and the full moon drew me.

This is one of my favourite cottonwood trees. Later, it entangled the moon.
