I don’t always look at my photos the same day I take them. So I don’t remember taking this photo. I was ready to delete it as too blurry. But something about the ghostly effect of the vine-like branches was appealing, and then my eyes traveled up the trunk…is that another hummingbird!?! Now I love this photo.

The same day, at the same tiny creek in the woods when I was painfully aware of my usual bear phobia, I happened to actually see a bear foot print in the mud. So this one’s blurry because I could hardly stand to stay in that place without running hysterically back to the open field. I made myself continue on my walk. But left shortly thereafter.
