Last week I was watching the barn swallows swooping around our pasture one morning, catching mosquitoes. It was a challenge to try to get a photo of these swift flyers.
This week we watched them feeding their young, perched up high on the power lines over our farmyard. As we sat and watched, the parents swooped down to a great twittering excitement among the four youngsters, and alternated between the open beaks turned up to them frantically.
