Another sign of spring: animals losing their thick winter coats. Though this clump of white tail deer hair may have been caught on something so that it came off in one large piece.

When I find such tufts in our yard, near the bird feeder, I think some owl has missed out on a bunny meal. (I usually only notice this in the winter.)
